1. About these terms

These terms apply when you use the VMF Investments website, including its tools. By using the website you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the website. Our Privacy notice explains how we handle personal data and forms part of these terms.

2. Who we are

VMF Investments is run by Edwin Sebastian Fernandes, an AMFI-registered Mutual Fund Distributor (ARN-371792), from Calangute, Goa, India. We are a sub-distributor of AssetPlus (Valueplus Technologies Private Limited), an AMFI-registered mutual fund distributor with ARN-114376, and your mutual fund investments are placed through them. Edwin is also a certified insurance distributor.

3. What we do, and what we don't

  • We are a mutual fund distributor. We help you invest in the Regular plans of mutual fund schemes. We're paid a commission by the fund houses, through AssetPlus. It comes out of the fund's own yearly costs, and you pay us no fee.
  • Any guidance we give is incidental to distributing particular mutual fund schemes. We are not a SEBI-registered investment adviser, and we don't provide financial planning or portfolio-level investment advice.
  • Before you invest, we'll tell you the commission we receive on the scheme we suggest and on the other schemes we considered, as AMFI's Code of Conduct requires.
  • Our suggestions are limited to the schemes of the fund houses we distribute. You may also want to consider products we don't offer before you decide. The list of those fund houses is on our Disclosures page.
  • We never promise, and never indicate, a return for any scheme.
  • Your money goes from your own bank account to the fund house, through the systems that carry mutual fund transactions. We never hold it.

4. The tools are illustrations

  • The tools on this website use the assumptions shown on each tool, such as rates of return and inflation. Their results are rough illustrations to help you think about a decision. They are not advice for your situation, not a recommendation of any scheme, and not a promise.
  • Real returns vary from year to year, can be lower than any rate shown, and can be negative.
  • Please don't make an investment decision on a tool's result alone. Talk to us, or to a SEBI-registered investment adviser if you'd like personal advice.
  • The figures you type into a tool stay on your device and are never sent to us.

5. Mutual funds carry risk

Mutual fund investments are subject to market risks. Please read all scheme-related documents (the Scheme Information Document, the Statement of Additional Information and the Key Information Memorandum) carefully before investing. Past performance doesn't guarantee future returns.

6. If you live outside India

Nothing on this website is an offer, or a request, to buy or sell any product in any country where that would be against the law. If you live outside India, please check that you're allowed to invest in Indian mutual funds under the laws of the country you live in. Some fund houses don't accept investments from residents of certain countries, or accept them only with conditions. We'll tell you if something isn't open to you.

7. Using the website properly

Please don't:

  • use automated programs to send requests, copy the website or overload it;
  • try to get into parts of the website or our systems that you're not meant to;
  • send a request with someone else's details without their permission, or with false details;
  • type ID numbers, bank details or passwords into any box on the website.

We may block anyone who misuses the website.

8. Staying safe

We will never ask for your OTPs, passwords or PINs. We contact you only from our number, +91 92262 37492, and vmfinvestments@gmail.com, and our website is www.vmfinvestments.com. If anyone else claims to be us, please don't reply, and tell us.

9. Accuracy and changes

We work to keep the information on this website accurate and up to date, but we can't promise that it always is. Rules, taxes and products change. We may change the website and these terms at any time; the date at the top shows the latest version.

10. Other websites

The website links to other websites and apps, such as WhatsApp, Instagram, AMFI and the fund houses. We don't control them, and we aren't responsible for their content or for how they handle your data.

11. Our responsibility

We provide this website and its tools for general information and education. As far as the law allows, we aren't responsible for any loss that comes from using the website or the tools, or from relying on the information in them. Nothing in these terms takes away any right you have under the law that can't be taken away, including your rights under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.

12. Our content

The words, design, logo and tools on this website belong to VMF Investments. You're welcome to use the tools for yourself and to share links to the website. Please don't copy the website or its tools for business use without our written permission.

13. Questions and complaints

If you have a question or a complaint, please contact us first, on WhatsApp at +91 92262 37492 or by email at vmfinvestments@gmail.com. We'll reply within 30 days. If a complaint is about a mutual fund transaction and you're not satisfied with our answer, we'll help you take it to the fund house concerned. After that, you can go to SEBI's complaints system, SCORES (scores.sebi.gov.in), and then to SEBI's online dispute resolution portal, Smart ODR (smartodr.in). 14. The law that applies

These terms are governed by the laws of India. The courts in Goa have jurisdiction over any dispute about them. This doesn't take away your right to complain to a consumer commission where you live or work, under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.
